About OGR Living Hotel Kyoto

hotel lobby

This building is a large two-story wooden building with a total area of 330 square meters that was constructed by the owner in 1997 when he opened an outdoor store.

It started gaining popularity in 2015 when they started renting out old houses owned in the surrounding area as lodging facilities to foreigners.

The second floor warehouse of the outdoor store was completely renovated in 2019, and it took more than a year to create a unique residential design hotel with 6 rooms.

The huge beams and pillars that support the large wooden structure transform the entire hotel into an amazingly fantastical space.

The walls of the bathroom and bedroom are decorated with traditional Japanese transoms (Ranma) and paper shoji (Japanese shoji paper), creating a unique atmosphere of light and shadow.

A dedicated 5 giga optical fiber provides 2.5 giga wired LAN ports to each room. The WiFi 6 mesh wireless LAN throughout the building connects the latest smartphones, tablets, notebook PCs, etc. at high speed in the 5GHz band, providing a seamless and stress-free wireless LAN environment from the guest rooms to the terrace.

OGR Living Hotel, which was conceived for five years and completed after over a year of renovation, offers a stress-free living environment and work space for both short-term stays and long-term stays, with all rooms equipped with work desks and chairs. We offer
